Charity Appeals
Pupils are encouraged to be involved in helping those less fortunate than themselves. Recent appeals raised over £5000 for St. Raphael’s Hospice and over £6,000 for Starlight Children’s Foundation, which aims to “brighten the lives of seriously ill children”. The Foundation was so impressed that it made the School a “flagship” for its national campaign. A year 7 class made a magnificent contribution, raising over £1000 by various means, including a sponsored book-read. A magnificent £11,000 was recently raised for “Get Kids Going”, a charity to help disabled children participate in sport. The International Evening welcomed the Mayor and Mayoress of the London Borough of Sutton and several hundred parents and pupils to sample food and celebrate culture from the diverse traditions within our School. |
