MS. SAIDA SHARIFF

It is with great sadness that I announce the death of Ms. Saida Shariff.

Ms. Shariff had been very ill for some time and, although she struggled hard and long to combat her illnesses, she died in the early hours of Wednesday, 4th April.

Ms. Shariff was appointed to teach Economics and Business Studies in September 2003 at Wallington County Grammar School, and left the school in September 2006 after a long period of sickness.  Ms. Shariff had worked in Investment and as a Systems Development Administrator prior to graduating with 1st Class Honours at the University of Surrey, Roehampton.  Ms. Shariff then decided to follow a teaching career.  After completing her PGCE, she taught very successfully for three years at Therfield School Leatherhead before joining the staff at Wallington.

Ms. Shariff was a highly successful teacher at the School and will be greatly missed by both pupils and colleagues.

Our thoughts and sympathy are with her family who supported her throughout her illness, especially her daughter and her parents.

Headmaster.
