Wallington County Grammar School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
All posts at the school are exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and therefore all convictions, cautions and bind-overs, including those regarded as "spent", must be declared.
The school will request two references one of which should be from the current or most recent employer.
On appointment all successful candidates will have their identity checked thoroughly and will be required to complete an application for a CRB Disclosure immediately. Candidates will also be required to supply documents confirming any educational and professional qualifications that are necessary or relevant for the post.
Providing false information is an offence and could result in the application being rejected, or summary dismissal if the applicant has been selected, and possible referral to the police. Any gaps in a CV will be explored and interviewees will be asked explicitly about warnings and any concerns the school has.
