11+ Familiarisation Paper

For pupils entering Year 7 in September 2009 

The 'familiarisation paper' has three sections, Verbal Reasoning, Mathematics and English.  The sample questions will familiarise your son with some of questions that are likely to appear in the test papers on the day. 

This 'familiarisation paper' is not a test paper and as such is not timed (apart from the essay question).  This paper gives example questions so your son will know where and how to write his answers on the day.

To clarify - the timetable for the test in September will be:

Verbal Reasoning - 20 minutes

Mathematics - 30 minutes

English  - 40 minutes (20 mintues - comprehension, 20 minutes essay).

If you would like a copy of this ‘Familiarisation Paper’ please send a donation in the form of a cheque for £5 (made out to WCGS) and an A4 size stamped addressed envelope (envelope - A4 size, stamp - 52p – large letter size).  The familiarisation paper and the answers will then be sent by return of post.   Remember to also put a 52p stamp on the envelope you send.
