The Red Sea, Jordan and Israel Cruise
4th - 11th April 2008
The Headmaster took 14 students on a trip of a lifetime to visit the treasures of the Red Sea on a cruise liner. The trip set off from Gatwick Airport for Aqaba, Jordan where the ship was boarded. After spending a day exploring Petra and Aqaba Hotel Resort, we set sail for Eilat, Israel. We will drove through the Arava Valley and Negev Desert to Masada. Here we were refreshed ourselves with a mud bath and spent an afternoon floating in the Dead Sea. Our next port was Sharm el Sheikh, where we will took a spectacular drive across the Sinai wilderness and visited St Catherine’s Monastery. The liner then sailed overnight to Cairo and we spent a day exploring the pyramids. Luxor was our next destination and we will visited several tombs in The Valley of the Kings. The cruise ended with a day at Hurgada Hotel Resort and then we flew home.
