27th April 2007

Dear Parents,

I write to bring to your attention certain staff changes.

Today Mr. Gower leaves the School for a promoted post at Carshalton Boys as an ICT Technician.  Initially appointed in September 2004 as an ICT Technician on the Modern Apprentice Scheme, Mr. Gower successfully completed his course at Croydon College in January 2007 and gained a NVQ Level 2.  This has been a successful training venture for Mr. Gower and the School and we wish him well in his new post.

Mrs. Mott was due to return from maternity leave in June 2007 but has decided not to return and to spend time with her family.  Mrs. Mott was appointed as Director of Music in September 2003.  She completed her MA in Music at Christ Church Oxford in 1994.  Mrs. Mott was involved with many musical extra curricular activities including organising concerts.

Mr. Court and Mrs. Light have been appointed on a supply basis to cover ICT classes until the new teacher joins us in July.  He lectured full time in ICT at NESCOT between November 2000 and November 2005, and has also taught at all levels at several other Colleges on a part time basis.  Mr. Court has also acted as an Invigilator for OCR and City and Guilds practical and online examinations.  Mrs. Light also is one of our invigilators, a qualified ICT teacher whose career has mainly been developed in Adult Education.

Students should be working hard now, for all bar Year 7 have external examinations looming.  The Key Stage 3 SATs start on Tuesday, 8th May after May Day.

            With best wishes.

Headmaster.
