Colm Molloy wins Trophy at the All Scotland Irish Dancing Championships

Year 7 pupil Colm Molloy won silver at the All Scotland Championships of Irish Dancing held last weekend 5-7 October. He had to perform three complicated and difficult dances: The Hornpipe, The Reel and a set dance called The Hunt. Colm said “When the results were announced I was shaking like mad I was so nervous” Colm who dances for the Claddagh Dancing School in London will now go on to represent the United Kingdom at the World Championships in Belfast in March 2008. Colm who has just started at Wallington County Grammar School has been Irish dancing for seven years and trains very hard to achieve perfection. Headmaster Dr. Martin Haworth said “We are extremely proud of Colm’s achievement and know that he will train hard for the World Championships next spring – Well Done Colm.”
