Dear Parents,

We have had a very positive response to the International Evening. Over 100 parents from 35 different countries have volunteered so far to donate dishes from the country of their origin, including Barbados, Bosnia, Egypt, England, Ethiopia, Germany, Hungary, Japan, Latvia, Morocco, South Africa, The Philippines, Turkey and Wales.

We still need more parents. Half the fun of the last two International Evenings was participating and contributing. Dishes can be as small or as large as you wish and they can be whatever you choose to make. Please contact Nasreen Rahman for food donations at, rahmannasreen@yahoo.co.uk telephone 07727 218300.

The evening will be accompanied by an entertainment programme performed by our students. Last time we had a tremendous line-up which included African and French songs, Bollywood dancing, street dancing, a steel pan band and a fashion show. Our French teacher, Miss Johnson, and our Music teacher, Miss Acker, are organising the entertainment, and I urge you to encourage your sons and daughters to take part. Also, if parents are interested in helping provide entertainment please contact Nasreen.

The International Evening is the biggest School event with 800 people attending. It is an evening rich with culture, food, national costumes, singing and dancing. It is an evening not to be missed, so please volunteer now by filling in the form below and send it to the School office.
